Rated R, 1 hour 41 Minutes
Starring Angelina Jolie, Rosanna Arquette, William Forsythe, Mekhi Phifer, and Johnny Whitworth
This movie has a lot of controversial stuff, like Mom sleeping with daughters boyfriend, drugs, crime, and abuse. It starts out with a drug deal gone bad, people being shot and one guy taking the blame for another. It's an ok movie, but I've seen better. I would give it a B-!
Here is what the cover has to say:
When a drug deal goes bad, three friends make a fatal judgment that puts one behind bars for a crime he did not commit. When he's finally paroled, he finds himself back in his old neighborhood where grudges are held, battles are fought and drugs provide the only escape. Certain that there has to be a better way, he tries to turn his life around one truth, one friend, one punch at a time. But old grudges die hard, and his past still has the final say over his future. Mekhi Phifer (I still know what you did last summer), Angelina Jolie (The Bone Collector) and Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction) star in this gritty take on life in the fire of Hell's Kitchen.
Gloria is waiting for Patty to come out of prison and then spits in his face for killing her brother.
Gloria's boyfriend cheats on her with her Mom and then tries to make up.
She's been beat up and almost raped by her boyfriend and then catches him in her bed with her Mom, so she's moving out.
After finding out that Patty didn't kill her brother and he apologized, Gloria renews their friendship. In the last picture, she cries at her brother's grave.
