Rated R, 2 hours 7 Minutes
Starring Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder
Angelina is a Psychotic girl by the name of Lisa. Wow what a performance. This movie didn't just entertain me, but it made me think of how many people are actually just like the girls in the movie and never even get to a counselor. I had read the book a while before I watched the movie and expected to be disappointed, but was very surprised to find the movie extraordinary. This movie deserves an A!
Here is what the cover has to say:
Two time Oscar-nominee Winona Ryder stars in the fascinating true story of a young woman's life-altering stay at a famous psychiatric hospital in the turbulent late 1960's. Questionably diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Susanna (Winona Ryder) rebels against the head nurse (Whoopi Goldberg) and top psychiatrist (Vanessa Redgrave), choosing instead to befriend the resident "loonies" - a group of troubled women including the seductively charismatic sociopath Lisa (Angelina Jolie). But Susanna quickly learns if she wants her freedom, she'll have to face the person who terrifies her most of all: herself.
Angelina Jolie in the "loonie bin". She calls Susanna two booth's away from her own, gets into people's faces and plays with the lower functioning ones.
Here she finds another girls "secret" stash of chicken.
Lisa frequently runs away and ends up getting caught. She causes quite a bit of trouble and doesn't know how to live by the rules.
Lisa does things with others and most like her.
Lisa was so mean the girl ended up killing herself.
Lisa acts like she's trying to kill Susanna. Then she breaks down crying.
