Rated R, 2 hour 8 Minutes
Starring: Richard Gere and Diane Lane
Well, I don't really care much for movies which play in this era, but it's a good movie nevertheless. Probably a B- for those who like this era.
Here is what the cover has to say:
Richard Gere is Dixie Dwyer. In his powerful hands a trumpet became more than a horn. And a girl who could walk the violent line between music and the mob. Until one night, in the Cotton Club, he discovered Vera Cicero (Diane Lane). And suddenly his life became even hotter than his music. Francis Coppola's masterpiece exposes the most violent and passionate era America has ever known. It was the age of jazz and glamour, in the kingdom of organized crime. Its violence startled the nation. It's music startled the world. Ladies and gentlemen... welcome to the Cotton Club!
He's a slick gangster
He likes his "boss" girl
He lives dangerously
