The Burns and Allen Show
b/w, 2 hours
Starring: George Burns, Gracie Allen, Blanche Morton, Harry Morton, Bill Goodwin, and Harry Von Zell
A typical Burns/Allen Show... funny!
Here is what the cover has to say:
Headliners in Vaudeville in the 1920's, on radio in the 1930's and '40's and for almost a full decade on television in the 1950's, George Burns and Gracie Allen had one of the most enduring acts in the history of show business. The format of the long-running comedy series was simple enough. It was set in the Burns home, and cast George in the dual role of on-screen narrator and straight man for Gracie. Burns would frequently talk directly to the camera, to comment on the plot, to analyze Gracie's scatterbrained antics, or to tell a few jokes. This long-running comedy series is probably best remembered for the comic routines performed at the end of each show by its stars. ('Say good night, Gracie"). This tape contains 4 hilarious shows: 1. Beverly Hills Uplift Society, 2. The Klebob Card Game, 3. Teenager Spends the Weekend, and 4. Gracie Gives a Wedding.
