This page talks about the information I found out there on how to make you feel better if you suffer from Arthritis.
Just a few years ago my personal experience was limited to my fingers. I knew I had beginning arthritis in my knees and back, but symptoms there were minimal. I have a feeling that the tendonitis I have in my body (I call it traveling tendonitis) has something to do with my Arthritis, but you can't get any clear answers from docs around here. They tell you it's not related to Arthritis, that it's a coincidence, but that just makes no sense to me!
Since then, I have had surgery on my shoulder due to the arthritis tearing my tendon apart and I know I have the same thing happening to my right shoulder. I can feel my hip sometimes and I know I have issues with my back. I am in the process of figuring out how to apply for Disability since I cannot work a 40 hour week any longer. If I work two days in a row, my whole body aches.

Maintain optimum body weight.

Follow a good basic diet by eliminating as many refined foods as possible and adding whole grains, fresh vegetables, and fruits. It's particularly important to avoid sugars, fried foods, preserved meats, red meats, cheeses, cream sauces, and nuts.

Increase your consumption of fish, especially herring, salmon, and tuna, to add fish oils to your diet.

Avoid foods from the nightshade family including tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, peppers, paprika, cayenne, and tobacco for a month. If you do not experience relief, reintroduce these foods to see if they affect your symptoms.

Avoid the artificial sweetener Aspartame

Exercise daily for at least twenty minutes. Swimming, walking, and yoga are good choices.

Use a heating pad or moist heat to give relief.

2 mg. Daily
500 mg. Two times daily
1,000 mg. Three times daily.
Vitamin E:
400 I.U.daily
Pantothenic acid:
3 g. daily for three weeks. If not lessening of symptoms, discontinue.

Gin Soaked Raisins:
Golden Raisins and gin
Empty raisins into a bowl and pour in just enough gin to cover the raisins. Cover the container with a paper towel. Allow the gin to evaporate (about one week) and then place the moist raisins in a jar with a lid. Eat nine raisins a day.

Purple Pectin for Pain:
Purchase Certo in the canning section of your local grocery. It is the thickening agent used to make jams and jellies. Certo contains pectin, a natural ingredient found in the cell wall plants. There are two recipes:
Take 2 teaspoons of Certo in 3 ounces of grape juice three times a day. As the pain disappears, this can be reduced to 1 teaspoon in juice twice a day.
An alternate approach is to use 1 tablespoon of Certo in 8 ounces of grape juice once daily.

Arthritis Shake:
5 apples
3 plums
1/4 cup fresh or frozen pitted cherries
2 tbs lemon juice
1 cup ice or bottled water
Juice each fruit separately. Combine with lemon and ice. Blend until smooth. Refrigerate leftovers.
