Throughout the years we have had many different pets, from snakes and iguanas to cats and dogs.
Here are a few of the ones we have had and have now.
At the moment, we have three cats, a dog, a bunny, a Conure, Fish, Chickens and a guinea pig|
These are our cats Sparkles, Bubbles and Liquorice
This is our dog Sparky. Sparky is a white boxer and he is deaf.|
This is our Conure (also called a pocket parrot) Cheerio|
This is Nibbles our Guinea Pig. We named her Nibbles cause she likes to nibble on people|
Here our tribe decided to have an animal meeting in our office|
Wonder what they're scheming??
This is Pepper, our bunny. She is the offspring of Sara and Oreo (both have passed away)|
We tried to have her live inside, but she's just not happy indoors, so she has a big run outside
and a warming light in the winter. She could easily hop out and get away, but she's happy where she is.
These are our fish|
And here are our Chickens. |
Sugar and Cracker 1
Cracker 2 and Moose
Magpie and Cracker 3
Caramel Flame and Mimi
Babygirl and Monster
(Babygirl and Monster have passed away)
This is Pepper's Daddy Oreo hanging out with Liquorice and Sparkles while he was still alive|
He was indoors and outdoors at times
This is Nuggles the dog.|
He is a Teddybear, which is a mix between Shih-tzu and Bichon Frise
He never did get the whole potty thing down, so he's living with my sister-in-law now
Our dog Lita with Nuggles and Benji! We adopted Lita from the Humane Society|
When I stopped the Daycare and went back to work outside of the home, Lita got really bad anxiety issues
We tried a thunder jacket, meds and behavior therapy and nothing worked
She ended up with a friend of mine who was home with her and she's happy there.
This was our guinea pig Pizza|
He wouldn't eat anymore and died before I could take him to the vet
I only had Wolfy for a short time, but I grew so close so fast. |
He had some medical problems when we first got him and tried to make him better
but that never happened and we were forced to surrender him.
I cried so hard when I had to give him up. He was an awesome cat!!!
He would "pet" my head every time I fed him.
Like I said, he was an awesome cat!
And this is Christmas |
Christmas was cool too. He was only 2 when he died of a blood disaease.
We had him since he was just a baby
This is "Monkey"|
We named her that way cause of the way she looks like a monkey in her face.
She was born on August 4th, 2005. We had her for almost 4 years.
We had to give her to another family cause she started pooping all over the carpet
Daycare doesn't do well with this and I was given an ultimatum. :-(
and two green tree frogs.
Jenny had brought an aquarium over with a female bahaman anole which is hiding in the bushes. Of course, one is never enough so we ended up adding two males
Here is "Precious Baby"
We got her on October 28, 2002
When Benji was born she got really jealous and we were not able to keep her.
Here is "Toby". He's David's dog,
but he's at our house on occasion as well
This is our cat Seven of Nine, named after the Star Trek character, due
to the way she behaved when she first came "home" in December of 98. She passed away in 2005 from cancer. We miss her very much! She was a great addition to the family. She was 2 years old when we got her. She loved the Daycare kids while they were eating...you can see the reason by looking at the pictures.
Seven with Alien ears in her favorite hiding spot
Eating her "dinner"
And here on the shelf in the bathroom
This was Mandy's cat Angel. He lived with us the whole time Mandy lived with us.
These are the guinea pigs Alvin, Cappocino, and Lena.
These three piggy's all went to animal heaven by now.
||This is Baby-Guinea (Alvin's Baby) in April of 2002. I raised him with a dropper, cause his Mommy died. There were 4 babies and he was the runt of the litter, yet he is the only one that made it. Baby-Guinea died unexpectantly (overnight) in 2005.
|This is Baby-Guinea on March 29th, 2004. He's about the tamest Guineapig I've ever seen. He lets you put him on his back to pet his belly and he doesn't get finicky when you try to pick him up.
||This is Baby-Guinea and Coody
(we named her that way cause Jason knew how to say it).
This is Bunzy. She was 9 years old when she passed away in 2003.
We bought Grey for Snowhite, but found out later that the rabbit was a male and they didn't get along. We brought him back to where we bought him, cause he was supposed to be a female. They then gave us another rabbit telling us that it was a female... and guess what.... .... it's a male too!
This is Spot...
He didn't work out as a pal for Bunzy either, but we kept him anyway. As Spot got older, Bunzy and Spot did not get along and Spot was hurting Bunzy to the point we had to take her to the Vet. We had to put them in separate cages. Bunzy lived with Alvin's Baby, Baby-Guinea, and Spot went to animal heaven in 2008.
These are Theodore and Spot.
Spot didn't get along with Theodore either. Theodore was very old and had a stroke back in 2001 and died two years later. He was crippled after his stroke but still as adorable as ever.
||This is Kiddo aka Bluebird.|
I got him from Bonnie in Summer 2001
He went to live with Lisa with another Parakeet. The cats kept trying to get to him and I also thought it was sad for him to be so lonely.
|This is Buster the Beagle
We got him from the pound but had to give him back. He was biting the kids' ankles.
||Buster chewing up a toy.
|This is Buster and Angel in David's Arm. They got along really well.
Well and this was our worst nightmare
Cujo... oh, well, I mean Tanner
Our St. Bernard
And here Tanner and Buster are together
The dogs seem to have fallen in love immediately.
Tanner pretty much protected Buster from any real or imagined danger.
We don't have Tanner anymore. Had to give him away because of his aggression. He kept nipping at people and after I had given him to a Trainer, he ended up biting someone. I'm just glad we gave him away early enough to not have that happen at this house. Tanner was later put to sleep due to his aggression worsening.
This is Max, my Iguana. This was in March 1993. He ended up getting huge. He lived on the canopy of our bed and roamed the bedroom. One Christmas he decided to be a tree topper and jumped on our Christmas tree. In this picture he had just jumped on my head
This picture was also taken in March 1993. This is my son David with John's boa. It was over 9 feet tall when I divorced John. I had another one that I raised from baby on, but I have no pictures of her.
This is Boobie. He was a Cockatiel.
These are my puppies. They were born in March 1994. We kept cuddles (the one on the left). When I got divorced, she also stayed behind. To this day I wish I could have another dog like her. She was AWESOME!!!
I may got my wish with Sparky.... we will see
My first pet as a child was my dog I grew up with. His name was Yogi and he was a Chow. Then I had a cat and a Guinea Pig. As a Teen I raised Zebra Finches. Later I had some more cats and dogs, rats, hamsters, Fish and other birds. My dream animal would be a horse. Maybe one of these days. Or a pigmy goat. I'd like a little monkey too..lol.
And of course we have the "visitors"
This is some kind of hawk that appeard in my front yard
Squirrels eating "in" our windows
It was rather earie. Just of the sudden it got really quiet outside
There was always noise from the bird feeder. LOTS of birds!!!
Then birds flew against my window
Then this big shadow of wings
I ran to the window and saw this:
End every year I have certain visitors that come back
This gold finch comes knocking on my window every spring looking for a mate
And then I have a bird nest by my kitchen window that is filled with babies at least twice every year
